Version 0.1.5 released

Post by Edwin »

Virtual Paradise version 0.1.5 is now released! This version has a lot of new features and improvements:
  • RWX Loading(most models work, but not all)
  • Downloading models and textures from AW object paths
  • Support for AW filmstrip textures
  • Name tags on avatars
  • Support for object click events for the bot SDK.
  • No fixed range for loading objects in the world, objects load for the area you're in.
  • Frustum culling
  • OpenGL driver info window
  • A menu bar
  • Fullscreen mode
  • Translations(A Dutch translation is included)

I saw most of this already in the sneak preview but it looks cool. Edwin had loaded an old (AW) prompdump of a world of the old days. Those who were there might remember it.

Which Account do I need to login? My Cube3 Account I have on the site, doesn't seem to work in VP and there is no signup functionality in the wxWidgets desktop application.

The rendering power might exceed AW's. Edwin supports diffrent and more modern object-formats while AW only has rwx and cob.

Edwin is doing fine and you have to keep in mind that he's working on his own and that AW is a milion dollar company with lots of professional programmers.
