Collision detection

VP now has a collision detection system. :) It is far from complete but it works for the most part, it needs some more error checking and optimizations to work better. It makes the camera slide when it hits a wall or floor.

Re: Signs

Nice. Good to see that there's still progress :) I understand that you're not a professional programmer and that you still have school and homework and stuff so I don't blame you for not working 24/7 on VP :) So you would blame a professional programmer for not working on a project 24/7 ?

Re: Re:

I sometimes use VB.NET but I just don't like it. They made simple tings complicated and complicated things simple :s I agree, I haven't used VB.Net a lot but I know this is true. VB looks easy but it isn't allways clear what's happening. Maybe you could try C#, it is also using .Net but has a very ...

Re: Re:

C++ for the win!! :-) /agree 2 bad i don't have the time to learn it. It all looks so complicated :p So i'll stick to VB for now. Then it might be better to move on to VB.Net if you're still using VB6 because it is newer and there will probably be a VP SDK for it :-P. Someone might write a VB6 SDK,...

I can't however find the Sticky or Announce options when making a new topic. Or have you just disabled this for Mods?
Hmm, I just tested it and it looks like it's disabled for mods. I'll fix it

Re: Forum updated

This new version is cool, but can you perhaps install a Dutch language option? My English is good enough but I prefer my own language for interfaces. I just installed it :) I prefer Dutch too. I still think it's quite funny most of the people on this forum are Dutch but we're all chatting in Englis...

Forum updated

The forum has been updated to phpBB3, this new version has a lot more built-in features then the older phpBB2 but is still a release candidate. I think it's stable enough to use here and I hope you like the new version. 8) A new version of VP including the streaming video will be released very soon ...

Re: Streaming video on a 3D model

It is now possible to play streaming Quicktime video in Virtual Paradise. It's also possible to stream audio but that puts a black texture on the 3D model it's applied to, which is probably not what you want. I've made a video of it in action and put it on Youtube, it can be found at http://www.you...
